Job Description
JOB PURPOSE To achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration through managing the sales team in his/her area of authority. JOB FUNCTION Sales & Market Growth: Achieve sales and profit margins within agreed thresholds, retain existing business, and grow market share through acquisition of new customers and development of strategies to counteract competitor activities. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term client partnerships, ensuring prompt response and resolution to customer needs and issues, monitor and close out non-compliance issues timeously, assisting the Contracts Manager on contract related issues e.g. annual price reviews and technical queries. Sales Planning & Forecasting: Analyse market trends, develop area sales plans, and provide accurate forecasts to support business strategy. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager. Administration & Reporting: Manage budgets, reports, expenditures and systems in line with policy to ensure efficiency and compliance. Monitor the debtors book to ensure accuracy and timely collections. Prepare and submit management reports by due date. Team Management: Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve performance objectives and uphold company standards QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Engineering (Chemical /Metallurgy) Sales/Marketing tertiary qualification would be an advantage. Minimum 5 years relevant sales experience, including 2 years at a senior level Exposure in a Process Plant exposure is advantageous. Proficient in MS Office. Proven leadership and team-building skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, strong customer focus and relationship management, strategic sales ability and persuasive negotiation skills Results-driven with high attention to quality and performance alignment
