Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations and ensure that physical stock accurately reflects system records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse policies, inventory control procedures, supplier management, and operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to maintain optimal stock levels and streamline processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes. Maintain alignment between physical stock and system records through regular cycle counts and audits. Implement and enforce warehouse policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols. Conduct and oversee regular stock counts, reconciliations, and variance investigations. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock. Liaise with suppliers to manage orders, deliveries, and returns effectively. Ensure proper documentation, storage, and movement of goods in compliance with company standards. Manage and develop warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Identify and address process inefficiencies and implement best practices for warehouse optimization. Prepare and present regular reports on stock accuracy, shrinkage, and operational performance. Key Requirements Minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment. Strong understanding of inventory control systems, stock reconciliation, and warehouse management software (WMS). Proven ability to implement and manage warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices. Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Strong supplier management and negotiation capabilities. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and ERP systems. Matric (Grade 12) required; a relevant qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehouse Management will be an advantage.
