Experienced Barista

We pride ourselves on our exceptional service and community vibe. Job Description We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our small, dynamic team. As an experienced Barista , you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the smooth operation of our shop. Retail hours apply. Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty beverages, adhering to recipes and quality standards. Engage with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations to enhance their experience. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately. Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and reporting low stock levels. Requirements: Proven experience as a Barista (minimum 2 years in a busy coffee shop environment). Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays. Basic math skills for handling payments and tips. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. A passion for coffee and a desire to create memorable customer experiences. Preferred Qualifications: Barista certification or training from a recognized institution. Experience with alternative brewing methods Familiarity with specialty coffee trends and sourcing
