Accountant - East London

My client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join his growing team. The ideal candidate will have a BCom Accounting degree and strong experience managing full accounting functions up to trial balance. Applicants must hold a valid certification in Sage Pastel and be able to demonstrate practical experience using the software. Key Responsibilities: Record and reconcile all transactions up to trial balance level Prepare monthly management accounts Handle all SARS submissions and reconciliations, including UIF, VAT EMP501, and VAT control accounts Maintain HP bond and salary reconciliations Manage depreciation and fixed asset schedules Balance and reconcile loan accounts Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and Company procedures Liaison with the companys auditors to facilitate the completion of the audit and annual financial statements Requirements: Completed BCom Accounting degree (essential) Proven experience in full bookkeeping/accounting to trial balance Strong understanding of SARS submissions and related legislation Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel Excellent, accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills
