Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a
Solutions Architect , you will design and deliver technology solutions that meet business needs while aligning with Vancity’s architectural principles and technology direction. You will translate requirements into solution designs, ensure seamless system integration, and provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle. We’re looking for a candidate with strong technical and business acumen, deep experience in cloud and integration architecture, and a collaborative mindset.

Full-time, Permanent
role based at
Vancity head office
and will report directly to the
Manager, Enterprise Architecture.
Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Designing and documenting end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and align with architectural principles, security standards, and technology strategies
Partnering with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and platform owners to understand requirements and propose practical, scalable, and secure solutions
Conducting solution impact assessments for new initiatives to identify dependencies, risks, and alignment with Vancity’s technology direction
Ensuring that solutions integrate effectively across applications, data, and technology platforms
Providing technical leadership and guidance to project and delivery teams throughout the implementation lifecycle
Collaborating with Enterprise Architects and other Solutions Architects to ensure consistency, reuse, and alignment to the broader roadmap
Evaluating vendor and third-party solutions for fit, scalability, and alignment to business and technology needs
Developing solution architecture views, models, and documentation to support communication and decision-making with both technical and business stakeholders
Reviewing and validating solution designs, documenting architecture decisions and ensuring compliance with standards and best practices
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
4–8 years of experience in Solution Architecture or related roles
Experience designing and delivering solutions that integrate applications, data, and cloud technologies
Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration frameworks, and API architecture
Familiarity with architectural methods and frameworks such as TOGAF
Solid business and technical acumen in the context of the financial industry
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
TOGAF or other architecture certification
Experience working in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
Credit Union or Financial Industry experience
