The incredible opportunity

We’re seeking a pragmatic Director of IT & Cybersecurity to lead both internal systems and customer‑facing infrastructure, supporting global growth, edge product delivery, and secure network operations. From managing laptops and GDrive to securing SaaS and edge‑connected products, you’ll shape our IT and cyber strategy across ISO, DISP, and more. Based in Adelaide and reporting to the CTO, you’ll support teams across the business especially in Defence and Intelligence, where uptime, compliance, and security are critical.

How you will drive success:

Bridge the gap between product and IT : Work closely with engineering and product teams to understand how our connected products function ensuring IT systems and networks are bulletproof and built to scale.

Support edge and SaaS delivery : Ensure systems supporting both edge devices and our SaaS backend are secure, reliable, and performant.

Manage day‑to‑day IT : Keep the wheels turning—from device setup and endpoint management to internal system support (laptops, collaboration tools, GDrive, etc.).

Own and evolve cybersecurity : Develop and deliver Myriota’s cyber strategy, including threat detection, incident response, compliance (ISO 27001, ISO 9001, DISP, etc.), and internal training.

Design and maintain resilient infrastructure : Oversee our cloud environments, enterprise networks, and internal systems, balancing agility, performance, and security.

Build trusted partnerships : Manage vendors and service providers with technical insight and commercial acumen.

Act as a cross‑functional leader : Integrate new tools and systems in a way that enhances not hinders team workflows.

Stay hands‑on : Whether it's fixing a VPN, deploying new hardware, or running a tabletop cyber exercise, you’re not afraid to get involved.

Support Defence and secure environments : You understand what our Defence & Intelligence customers expect including DISP compliance and associated controls.

What we value in you:

Experience in a

product‑driven company , working alongside R&D and delivery teams to ensure infrastructure supports real‑world deployment especially for

networks, edge, or IoT systems .

A strong track record delivering and supporting

enterprise IT

in complex environments preferably with a mix of SaaS, cloud‑native systems, and

edge deployments .

Hands‑on IT expertise: from managing internal systems and collaboration tools to securing enterprise networks and devices.

Deep understanding of

cybersecurity best practices

and frameworks: risk management, incident response, and compliance with standards like

ISO 27001, ISO 9001 , and

DISP .

Familiarity with the

connectivity stack

whether that’s telecom, wireless protocols, satellite networks, or large‑scale data transfer environments.

A collaborative, people‑first approach: able to interact at all levels

Strategic thinking with the ability to roll up your sleeves when needed.

A curious mindset, with a bias toward action and improvement.
