Role Description Contract Lighting Designer

– Remote, Based in Indonesia

As a Contract/Freelance Lighting Designer, you will support international project teams to develop and implement innovative lighting design solutions. You will participate in concept development, lighting calculations, detailed technical drawings, and visual presentations across a variety of project scales.

Main Responsibilities

Perform lighting calculations and simulations using

Dialux / Relux

Create lighting layouts and technical drawings in

AutoCAD / Revit

Develop conceptual design visuals and presentations using

Photoshop / InDesign

Ensure compliance with industry standards, lighting guidelines, and sustainability practices

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve both

aesthetic and functional

goals

Assist in the integration of

lighting controls and smart lighting strategies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field (preferred)

Experience in architectural lighting for interior, exterior, and landscape environments

Strong understanding of lighting standards, sustainable design principles, and fixture specifications

Excellent collaboration and communication skills for remote teamwork

Good written and verbal English skills

Software Proficiency

AutoCAD

(technical drawings)

Revit

(BIM) – highly desirable

Photoshop / InDesign

(presentations & visuals)
