We are excited to partner with a large and greatly reputable national nonprofit organization to hire a

Manager, Financial Reporting

to join their team.

The Manager will bring a mix of technical expertise, leadership ability, and collaboration skills to oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality external financial reports. This position plays a key role in maintaining organizational accountability and supporting effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and delivery of external financial reporting, including management reports, annual statements, and related analyses.

Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of financial statements and supporting documentation.

Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Conduct research on complex accounting issues and develop clear, well-supported recommendations and policies.

Coordinate with auditors and internal teams to ensure timely completion of audit and reporting activities.

Oversee billing and financial reconciliation processes related to funding or membership arrangements.

Collaborate cross-functionally with other finance and operational teams to align reporting and compliance activities.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in financial reporting under ASPE and IFRS

Experience managing finance teams

Strong presentation skills by simplifying complex financial information for various audiences

Exposure to audit processes (internal or external) (asset)

Proven leadership and team development skills

A proactive mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for process and efficiency improvements
