SWAN VALLEY FAMILY PHYSICIAN
Work Location: On site – Swan Valley Primary Care Centre (1000 Main St, Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0), Swan River Valley Health Services (1013 Main St, Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0), Swan Valley Health Centre (1011 Main St, Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0), Swan Valley Personal Care Home (334 8 th St, Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0), Swan Valley Lodge Personal Care Home (1013 Main St, Swan River, MB R0L 1Z0), Benito Health Centre (200-1 st St SE, Benito, MB R0L 0C0).There is no option to work remotely.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Anticipated Shift: Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends
Daily Hours Worked: Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week)
Position Type: Fee for service
Wage Rate: Compensation is fee-for-service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.
Position Summary
Swan River Valley Health Centre is a 52 bed acute care facility, Swan Valley Lodge is a 70 bed long term care facility, Swan River Valley Personal Care Home is a 45 bed long term care facility, and Benito Health Centre is a 20 bed long term care facility. Services offered include Public Health, Mental Health, Addictions Medicine, Home Care, Emergency, Diagnostics, Chemotherapy, Dialysis, Telehealth, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Therapy, and itinerant Surgical.
Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Family Physician to join the Swan Valley Primary Care Centre. Duties to include: performing all duties associated with a family practice, including diagnosing and treating diseases, physiological disorders and injuries of patients, act as the primary care provider and provide continuous care toward the management of patients’ health. The physician will also share in the Emergency Department on call schedule and will cooperate and coordinate coverage with other physician colleagues.
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Private practice, Rural area
Credentials
The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree
Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance

Additional Information
Security and safety:
Complete and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
