Job Description
The Role
The Principal Architect – AI Experiences and Enablement is a senior architecture leader reporting to the Head of Architecture – Data and AI. You’ll define and evolve SEEK’s vision, designs and roadmaps for AI-enabled and agentic solutions, setting standards for how we design, build, deploy and monitor responsible, human‑centred AI at scale. You’ll partner across design, data science, architecture, engineering, analytics, product and business to turn ideas into secure, scalable experiences that deliver value for customers and SEEKers. A core focus is enabling productivity with the AI for SEEK team and empowering the wider business and technology community with clear guardrails, reusable patterns and guidance aligned to SEEK’s strategy.
The Team
Sitting within the Data and AI Architecture domain, this role operates centrally across Customer, Enterprise and Platform architecture to drive cohesive strategies and governance. The team provides specialist, cross‑functional leadership to ensure scalable, consistent outcomes across SEEK’s ecosystem. You’ll manage and mentor solution architects, align architecture, uplift capability and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Shape and uphold the enterprise architectural strategy and standards for AI experiences and agents - defining reference architectures and guardrails for creation, orchestration, monitoring, observability and oversight to ensure safety, reliability and accountability.
Continuously refine agentic strategy using signals from product, business, architecture and engineering to stay aligned with broader enterprise and domain architectures. Act as a strategic advisor to Technology and Senior Leadership on AI trends, risks and opportunities, and lead solution design for high‑impact engagements to ensure alignment with standards and strategy.
Enable teams through expert consulting, reusable capabilities, patterns and frameworks that accelerate delivery while managing risk; mentor and champion responsible adoption across the organisation.
Drive innovation by scanning and testing emerging frameworks, protocols and infrastructure patterns (e.g., MCP, A2A), engaging vendors, running timeboxed proofs of concept and translating learnings into updated standards, reference models and platform capabilities.
Embed trust, security, privacy and responsible AI through lifecycle practices that enable fast innovation without fragmentation or technical debt. Engage across the APAC ecosystem—partners, standards bodies and the broader community—to strengthen SEEK’s reputation and attract talent and partnerships.
Qualifications
Deep technical and architectural expertise across human‑in‑the‑loop systems, autonomous agents and backend workflow automation, grounded in AI/ML, LLMs, agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI) and cloud‑native design on AWS/GCP.
Proven ability to architect agentic systems balancing autonomy, explainability and human control, including context engineering, memory isolation, state management and event‑driven, modular patterns using vector databases and modern AI frameworks.
Hands‑on experience building and scaling AI platform capabilities (e.g., LLM gateways, MCP gateways/servers) and familiarity with interoperability standards/protocols such as MCP, A2A and AP2, or demonstrable ability to rapidly upskill.
Strong command of AI observability, monitoring and evaluation to ensure agent safety, transparency and performance, with practical tool and practice exposure.
Enterprise‑scale strategic advisory impact—shaping AI and agentic adoption, risk management, governance and investment decisions; influencing executives and senior stakeholders with clear, pragmatic recommendations.
Recognised leadership and influence—mentoring and upskilling engineers and architects, communicating complex AI concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences, and building communities of practice internally and across APAC.
Growth mindset with a track record of innovation and guiding organisations through significant technology change; comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation. Bonus: consulting experience, low‑code automation (e.g., n8n), major SaaS platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Workday) and partner/community engagement across APAC.
