Senior Clinical Psychologist – Neurorehabilitation

💰 Salary: £55,690 – £62,682 DOE + £6,000 Golden Hello Bonus

📅 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Are you an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a passion for neurorehabilitation? This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist team in York for one of our clients, providing psychological and neuropsychological expertise to adults with acquired brain injury. You’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring that evidence-based, person-centred rehabilitation is delivered across a multidisciplinary service.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessments for adults with acquired brain injury (ABI).
- Develop and implement collaborative rehabilitation formulations and SMART goals.
- Lead on psychological and neurobehavioural interventions within a multidisciplinary framework.
- Offer specialist input to risk assessment, behaviour management, and therapeutic planning.
- Provide consultation, supervision, and training to colleagues and family members.
- Contribute to research, service development, and data reporting as required.
- Undertake psychologically-based therapeutic work using a range of models and modalities.
- Participate in the on-call support rota for the service.
About You
- Degree in Psychology recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS) for GBR.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical).
- Strong interest in clinical neuropsychology and brain injury rehabilitation.
- Knowledge of ABI pathology, neuroanatomy, and rehabilitation approaches (including TBI, CVA, hypoxia, and encephalopathy).
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience within a relevant clinical setting.
- Skilled in report writing, interdisciplinary working, and promoting psychological thinking within teams.
