Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with a strong specialization in the

IT Operations Management (ITOM)

suite OR

IT Asset Management (ITAM)

. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing ITOM/ITAM solutions to enhance the visibility, availability, and performance of our IT infrastructure. This role is crucial for maturing our IT service delivery and will involve hands-on work with Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and the CMDB. You will collaborate with various IT teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure the overall health of our ServiceNow

ITOM/ITAM

applications. Key Responsibilities ITOM/ITAM Implementation:

Design, develop, and deploy solutions using the ServiceNow

ITOM suite

( Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Operational Intelligence ) OR .Architect and execute the technical strategy for the ServiceNow

ITAM suite

( HAM Pro and SAM Pro ), aligning with business objectives, compliance requirements, and financial goals. CMDB Management:

Take primary responsibility for the health, accuracy, and integrity of the CMDB. Configure and manage CI identification, reconciliation, and data certification rules. Discovery:

Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery, including setting up MID Servers, tuning probes, sensors, and developing custom patterns to find and classify IT infrastructure components. Service Mapping:

Create and maintain business service maps using top-down discovery. Collaborate with service owners and application teams to accurately map dependencies and data flows. Event Management:

Configure Event Management to integrate with various monitoring tools. Develop event rules, alert correlation logic, and automated remediation workflows to reduce noise and enable proactive incident response. Platform Development:

Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and UI Policies. Troubleshooting & Support:

Serve as the subject matter expert for all ITOM-related issues, providing operational support, troubleshooting complex problems, and performing root cause analysis. Collaboration:

Work closely with infrastructure, application, and service desk teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure ITOM solutions meet business needs. Best Practices:

Adhere to ServiceNow coding best practices, manage solutions within update sets, and contribute to the overall platform governance strategy. Required Qualifications & Skills Total Experience:

7 to 12 years of overall experience in ServiceNow development and administration. Core ITOM/ITAM Experience:

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience

specifically focused on the ServiceNow ITOM/ITAM suite. Module Expertise: Discovery:

Proven experience configuring and customizing Discovery, including custom pattern development. Service Mapping:

Demonstrable experience building and maintaining service maps. Event Management:

Hands-on experience integrating monitoring tools and configuring event/alert rules. CMDB:

Deep understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB, including data modeling, reconciliation, and data governance. Oversee the entire hardware asset lifecycle (procurement, receiving, deployment, stockroom, and disposal) within ServiceNow. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, GlideAPIs, Business Rules, and Script Includes. Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub). Solid understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (e.g., networking, servers, databases, cloud services). Certifications:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

is mandatory. Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications Advanced Certifications: CIS - Discovery CIS - Service Mapping CIS - Event Management ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - IT Asset Management CIS - Software Asset Management (SAM) Professional CIS - Hardware Asset Management (HAM) External Certifications:

ITIL v4 Foundations, Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP), or similar.

Advanced Tools:

Experience with ServiceNow Operational Intelligence (OI) or Cloud Management (CM). Platform:

Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub for building automated workflows. Methodology:

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
