Job Description:
This is a permanent, full-time role based in the Melbourne CBD, working Monday to Friday during standard business hours. The position offers the opportunity to provide legal and compliance support across a broad range of investment products in a dynamic funds management environment, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and contributing to areas such as product governance, regulatory obligations, and fund structuring.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the establishment, restructuring, and documentation of investment vehicles across local and international jurisdictions;
Draft and review disclosure documents such as Product Disclosure Statements, Information Memoranda, constitutions, and key agreements;
Provide guidance on financial services regulations, including AFSL obligations and relevant reporting requirements;
Support the introduction of new investment products and ETFs, coordinating with external advisers and service providers;
Conduct compliance reviews and maintain internal registers and policies in line with regulatory standards;
Contribute to investor communications, marketing collateral, and governance documentation; AND
Assist with due diligence processes, internal initiatives, and other legal or corporate matters as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Law degree and a current Victorian practising certificate;
Around 4โ7 yearsโ post-qualification experience within a law firm or financial services organisation;
Solid understanding of funds management structures, Corporations Act requirements, and AFSL frameworks;
Familiarity with managed investment schemes, listed funds, or ETFs is advantageous;
Strong drafting ability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams; AND
Commercial mindset with a genuine interest in investment management.
