An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Warrnambool Office for the position of Family Law Practitioner (Family Law Services)
The purpose of this position is to deliver PSCP/POP programs as required by the Family Law Services regionally. The FLS works with children and families to identify strengths and difficulties, provide family dispute resolution, counselling, group sessions and practical assistance, facilitate the setting goals to achieve change so that the child or children can have long lasting relationships with both parents, and/or significant people in their lives, after separation.

Skills & Experience
Previous experience in the delivery Family Dispute Resolution, Counselling and Group Facilitation is preferred using appropriate therapeutic approaches.
Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Family Law Services, in particular post-separation, with skills in the areas of crisis intervention, counselling, case management, assessment and problem solving for individuals and families.
Demonstrated expertise in working in a range of creative ways and settings with clients who have challenging, and complex needs is strongly preferred.
Widely trusted and able to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
Highly developed ability to provide secondary consultation, advice and training to other professionals.
Understanding of current service delivery models and the ability to work within such frameworks.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, communication and written skills.
Highly developed skills in working as part of a team and leading with complex cases.
Knowledge of Office applications e.g. Word, excel etc.
Willingness and capacity to work flexible hours.
Qualifications
A Bachelor level qualification or above in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or a related discipline that is recognised in Australia
Preferable
Individual Family Dispute Resolution Registration Number with the Attorney General’s Department (AGD) Practitioner Registration Unit. The FDRP must meet the accreditation requirements set out in the Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2008 and be able to issue section 60I certificates under the Family Law Act 1975. ( if you do not have this we will train )
A Post Graduate Certificate in Mediation & conflict resolution or equivalent that is recognised in Australia
A post graduate qualification in Family Therapy, Couple or Individual Counselling
Screening & Licenses
Satisfactory safety screening (Police & Working with Children Checks relevant to where OzChild deliver services).
Must be able to drive, provide and maintain a valid Drivers’ Licence and have access to reliable transportation.
