Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

VEHICLES Hybrid control unit & Software calibration Engineer

to work with our client which is a Chinese leading global automotive manufacturer. It is known for its strong focus on independent innovation, advanced research and development, and global expansion. The company has set up multiple R&D centers worldwide and holds thousands of patents, consistently ranking among the top Chinese vehicles exporters for over two decades. And they are now in the search of an HCU Engineer with decent experience in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

-Responsible for the software calibration and parameter optimization of the

Hybrid control unit

(HCU) for new energy vehicles, ensuring performance metrics such as power, efficiency, emissions, and driving comfort meet standards. -Participate in the requirement analysis, architecture design, and key module development reviews of the vehicle control system. -evelop and validate control strategies using MBD (Model-Based Design) processes and tools such as Matlab/Simulink. Vehicle Testing and Problem Solving: -Organize and execute system-level tests ( vehicle calibration testing), analyze test data, and optimize control logic. -Resolve technical issues during vehicle debugging and support the engineering implementation of mass-produced models. Cross-Department Collaboration: -Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams (e.g., powertrain, chassis, and autonomous driving departments) for technical alignment and coordination of requirements and development progress.

Qualifications

-Spanish Citizen or PR holder. -Bachelor's degree or higher in Vehicle Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields; Master's degree preferred. Professional Skills: -3+ years of experience in new energy vehicle controller (HCU/VCU/powertrain domain) development or calibration, with familiarity in hybrid configurations and energy management strategies. -Proficient in tools such as Matlab/Simulink, INCA, CANoe, and experience with ISO 26262 functional safety and Aspice development processes is preferred. -Familiar with vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN/LIN) and calibration testing methods. Language and Soft Skills: -Fluent in English & Spanish (working language), with proficiency in European languages such as German or French preferred. -Clear logical thinking, with the ability to independently solve problems and collaborate in cross-cultural teams.
