Remuneration Package Range: $247,170
Water Resources Division – Palmerston. An executive contract of up to 4 years may be offered.

The Department of Lands, Planning and Environment’s Water Resource Division oversees the administration of the Northern Territory Water Act 1992. This legislation guides the investigation, allocation, use, control, protection, and management of the Territory’s water resources.
In the role of
Executive Director Water Resources , you provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Division. Your responsibilities include developing, reviewing, and implementing government objectives, policies, and regulatory directives to ensure the sustainable utilisation of the Territory’s water resources.
Key Responsibilities
Offer strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer and Minister.
Spearhead the creation and execution of new legislation and policies.
Foster collaborative relationships with government entities and stakeholders.
Contribute to the department’s Governance Board, shaping strategic direction and fostering shared commitment to vision and goals.
Qualifications & Skills
Expertise in water resource management and legislation.
Strong strategic leadership skills.
Ability to enhance the performance of diverse professional staff and senior management teams.
Strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, political and policy acumen.
