Purpose
The Manager, Analytics & Insights will play a key role in supporting the Total Wealth Strategy by enabling data‑driven decision‑making and delivering effective solutions to accelerate business growth and operational efficiency. The role will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, develop insights, and support decision‑making through data. Working closely with Scotia Wealth Advisory business lines (SM, PIC & PB), the incumbent will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end delivery of strategic projects and key initiatives through hands‑on analytics work, cross‑team collaboration and applying deep business acumen to drive meaningful outcomes.
Accountabilities
Manage the design and execution of analytics solutions that support advisory business priorities
Elevate & enhance Total Wealth Analyzer as the advisor's go‑to tool for tailored analytics and creating a one‑stop shop for deeper client insights and new growth opportunities
Standardize reporting across business lines to enable insights and strategic visibility
Support all Total Wealth Analyzer related inquiries from advisor teams, field staff, and head office stakeholders – including handling access requests, responding to data inquiries, and ensuring timely resolution of user issues to support seamless business operations
Provide thought leadership in data storytelling, visualization, and advanced analytics that drive decision‑making
Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data‑driven strategies
Collaborate with technology, product, and business teams to ensure alignment and delivery
Identify opportunities to enhance analytics capabilities and influence strategic direction
Champions a high‑performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. Understand Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct and adhere to operational, compliance and conduct risk policies
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions
Dimensions
Support multiple business lines within Wealth (SM, PIC & PB)
Require extensive Wealth Management business knowledge to identify and translate key business data into relevant insights for problem solving and strategic analytics
Strong knowledge about wealth financial planning process, system, measurement and related data
Solid knowledge about data connections through various source data systems within Wealth
Strong knowledge of data visualization, automation & CRM tools including but not limited to Power BI, Salesforce
Expert skills in data mining using SQL, R/Python, or SAS
Expert skills as a user for Salesforce Wealth 360
Hands‑on experience in big data technologies (Hive/Beeline), DB2, SQL Server, Python
Knowledge of MinIO Data Storage, Airflow, Trino, Alteryx is an asset
Experience using BitBucket and Confluence
Knowledge of Cloud platforms (GCP) is an asset
Education / Experience / Other Information
Required: Undergraduate degree in business or engineering
Preferred: MBA and/or equivalent post‑secondary education
Minimum of 7 years of work experience; experience working in the wealth management or financial services sector would be an asset
Deep understanding of all Scotia Wealth Management business lines would be an asset
Ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced and dynamic business environment
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
Highly analytical with strong consulting and problem‑solving abilities; tenacity to identify the root cause of problems is essential
Strong knowledge of data visualization, automation & CRM tools including but not limited to Power BI, Salesforce
Highly motivated, self‑driven, results‑oriented and an ability to work under pressure
Ability to work in cross‑functional teams and build networks and relationships
Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to deal with all levels of management
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while meeting tight deadlines
