Motor Yacht Chief Officer

An exciting opportunity for an experienced chief officer on a 50m+ private superyacht in Southeast Queensland.

The vessel will operate a 3‑month probationary period leading to permanent employment for the successful candidate.

Upcoming itinerary will include New Zealand, Sydney, and the Whitsundays in Queensland.

Certification Requirements

STCW II/2 Chief Mate

GMDSS General Operator’s Certificate

STCW Basic & Advanced Fire Fighting

Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (PSCRB)

Medical Certificate (ENG1 or AMSA)

ECDIS certification

Additional Requirements

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent situational awareness and risk management

Advanced passage planning and navigation knowledge

Calm under pressure and effective in emergencies

High level of professionalism and integrity

Ability to train, lead, and motivate crew
