Role

We are seeking a highly motivated, passionate and experienced technical leader to join the Global Treasury Technology Team.

As Director, Global Treasury Development, you will collaborate with stakeholders in the bank to deliver an ambitious transformation agenda while ensuring existing systems are functional and resilient.

You will assist in roadmap definition and implement the roadmap. In addition, you will own a portfolio of applications and ensure IT risks are managed effectively on an ongoing basis.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

End‑to‑end technology ownership for applications in the portfolio, from the definition and intake of business requirements, analysis, estimations, design, development, testing to implementation

Ongoing support and maintenance of a portfolio of applications under Global Treasury Technology

Lead the efforts of transformation through modernization and applying leading practices in software

Modernize the current technology landscape with ability to understand business needs and provide software solutions that automate processes and improve productivity

Work closely with IT Architecture teams to ensure strong alignment with the bank’s architecture, including alignment to the bank’s goal to accelerate Cloud adoption.

Build productive relationships with third party software vendors that supply solutions to the portfolio, e.g. ION, Murex.

Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.

Build a high‑performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vision/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

We’d love to work with you if you have

Strong knowledge of the Bank’s Corporate Functions, in particular Corporate Treasury; understand how the bank funds its operations and manage liquidity. Familiarity with

Capital Markets products, front‑office and back‑office operations

highly desired.

Experience with large scale systems implementations or legacy systems replacement projects

Experience implementing and maintaining third party solutions such as

Murex and ION

Strong knowledge of requirements / design methodology – detail oriented, analytical and capable of investigating complex / technical issues and provide alternative solutions.

Ability to understand and work in an area where technology, regulations and product applications change constantly.

Manage teams directly/indirectly and effectively work as one‑team.

Strong knowledge of project methodologies including both Agile and Waterfall SDLC.

Excellent communication / presentation skills (both oral and written) as there would be frequent communications with

Treasury, Capital Markets

plus other IT groups across the bank.

Highly motivated and committed, great team player, capable of working in a dynamic environment with aggressive timelines, multiple work streams running in parallel.
