In this role as the Director, Business Intelligence (BI) reporting into the Sr Director, Shared Services Operations, you will lead and expand the Business Intelligence function within the ADP Canada organization.
This role will be instrumental in building a best-in-class BI practice, establishing data-driven decision-making frameworks, and delivering actionable insights that enable business leaders to drive measurable impact.
You will develop a strategic vision for business intelligence, oversee the creation of advanced reporting, analytics and visualization solutions, and drive cross-functional partnerships to embed data-driven thinking into core business operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of BI professionals and ensuring that ADP Canada’s business leaders have access to timely, accurate, and impactful insights.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Intelligence Leadership & Strategy
Develop and execute a strategic vision for business intelligence across ADP Canada, aligning with key business objectives.
Serve as the BI subject matter expert (SME) within ADP Canada, driving the evolution of business intelligence best practices, frameworks, and tools.
Provide technical and strategic leadership in data visualization, dashboarding, and self-service analytics to empower stakeholders with meaningful insights.
Continuously assess and advance ADP’s BI technology stack, identifying opportunities to drive innovation and integrate cutting-edge data visualization, automation, and analytics tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Provide strategic direction to BI Analysts, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Recruit, retain, and develop top BI talent, building a strong pipeline of future leaders in data analytics.
Business Partnership & Insights Delivery
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership within the business, providing data-driven recommendations that influence key business decisions.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align BI efforts with broader organizational goals.
Design and implement executive-level dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key performance metrics (KPIs) and drive business outcomes.
Own and improve storytelling methodologies, ensuring complex data insights are communicated in a clear, actionable, and compelling manner.
Scalability & Process Optimization
Establish and standardize scalable, repeatable BI processes that drive efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making across multiple business units.
Develop and enforce governance structures, data quality standards, and BI best practices to ensure consistency and trust in reporting.
Implement automation and self-service BI capabilities to empower stakeholders with real-time insights while reducing manual reporting efforts.
Work with Data Engineering and Product teams to build and maintain a robust data infrastructure that supports scalable, ADP Canada-wide analytics initiatives.
Optimize reporting cadences, workflows, and cross-functional collaboration models to improve efficiency and alignment between BI and business stakeholders.
Monitor, refine, and continuously improve BI processes, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and emerging analytics capabilities.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Requirements
5+ years of leadership experience, including managing BI teams and analytics professionals.
12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Strategy.
Comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within the business intelligence discipline and sufficient knowledge of related fields to assess business implications.
In-depth knowledge of how business intelligence integrates with overall organizational functions.
Strong business acumen, with the ability to set priorities and allocate resources effectively across teams.
Proven ability to influence and partner with senior executives, driving strategic business impact through data.
Experience working cross-functionally with Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Stewards, and Business Transformation teams.
*Quebec candidates: While French is required for Quebec-based roles, use of the English language is also required due to the global nature of the business and the need to interact with ADP’s headquarters and international sites.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

Leadership et stratégie en matière de veille stratégique
Définir et mettre en œuvre une vision stratégique des activités de veille stratégique à l’échelle d’ADP Canada, qui s’aligne avec les principaux objectifs commerciaux.
Agir à titre d’expert(e) en matière de veille stratégique au sein d’ADP Canada et promouvoir l’évolution des meilleures pratiques, des cadres et des outils en matière de veille stratégique.
Assurer un leadership technique et stratégique en matière de visualisation des données, de tableaux de bord et d’analytique en libre-service afin de permettre aux parties prenantes de disposer d’aperçus pertinents.
Évaluer et améliorer continuellement la pile technologique de veille stratégique d’ADP, en déterminant les possibilités d’innovation et en intégrant des outils de pointe en matière de visualisation, d’automatisation et d’analytique des données afin d’améliorer l’efficacité et la prise de décision.
Direction et perfectionnement de l’équipe
Diriger, encadrer et perfectionner une équipe de veille stratégique hautement performante, en favorisant une culture axée sur l’apprentissage continu et la croissance professionnelle.
Fournir une orientation stratégique aux analystes en veille stratégique, en assurant la cohérence avec les priorités de l’entreprise.
Recruter, fidéliser et perfectionner les meilleurs talents en veille stratégique, en constituant un solide bassin de futurs leaders en analytique de données.
Partenariat d’affaires et livraison d’aperçus
Agir à titre de conseiller(-ère) de confiance auprès de la haute direction, en formulant des recommandations fondées sur les données pour orienter les décisions d’affaires importantes.
Collaborer avec des équipes interfonctionnelles afin d’arrimer les efforts en veille stratégique aux objectifs organisationnels plus larges.
Concevoir et implanter des tableaux de bord et des rapports destinés à la haute direction qui offrent une visibilité sur les indicateurs de performance clés (IPC) et favorisent l’atteinte des résultats opérationnels.
S’approprier et améliorer les méthodologies de mise en récit, afin de communiquer des données complexes de manière claire, exploitable et convaincante.
Évolutivité et optimisation des processus
Mettre en place et normaliser des processus de veille stratégique reproductibles et évolutifs, afin d’accroître l’efficacité et de favoriser la prise de décisions axées sur les données au sein de plusieurs unités fonctionnelles.
Développer et mettre en œuvre des structures de gouvernance, des normes de qualité des données et des meilleures pratiques en matière de veille stratégique pour assurer la cohérence et la fiabilité des rapports.
Implanter des solutions d’automatisation et des capacités de veille stratégique en libre-service pour permettre aux parties prenantes de disposer d’aperçus en temps réel tout en réduisant le travail lié à la création de rapports manuels.
