Psychiatrist

Location : Various locations across Ontario

The Psychiatrist is a medical doctor specializing in diagnosing and treating mental illnesses. This role combines medical expertise with therapeutic interventions to provide comprehensive mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.

Diagnose mental health disorders and develop treatment plans.

Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.

Provide psychotherapy as appropriate.

Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of residency in psychiatry; board certification preferred.

Valid medical license in the practicing state / province.

Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
