Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.
We are looking for an Environment Management Specialist based in
Sevilla
to give support to our projects.
What will you help with?
· Environmental compliance control of PV and wind farms.
· Monitoring compliance with permits and environmental legislation. Creation and application of the Environmental Management Plan of the facilities.
· Management and coordination of the Environmental Monitoring Plan.
· Comply with the scorecard and compliance responsibilities per project/permit, in environmental obligations. Control of contractors.
· Training and communication of environmental compliance of the facilities.
· Notification and monitoring environmental incidents.
· Waste management and document control. Annual report and data integration.
· Environmental control and surveillance of projects under construction, during the start-up phase.
· Representation of the project in environmental matters before the administration, other promoters and local agents.
· Execution and control of annual environmental budgets. Approval and control of orders. Administrative control of environmental services.
· Reporting and obtaining KPI data for Environmental Management System and KPIs.
· Processing of unforeseen scopes and modifications.
· Management and execution of environmental and compensatory measures and environmental equipment in photovoltaic and wind installations.
· Control and execution of environmental restorations.
Who you are:
· Graduated in Environmental Sciences, Biology or similar. Preferably with a Master's Degree in Environmental Management or similar.
· Between 2 and 4 years of experience in wind and photovoltaic plant management, applying Environmental Monitoring Plans, wildlife monitoring, restorations and environmental measures.
· Knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance, environmental prevention, mitigation and compensatory measures in wind and PV farms.
· Able to manage GIS, advanced Excel, PowerPoint and QGIS user level.
· Ability to elaborate environmental reports and documents rewarding PVA and development.
· Fluent in Spanish and English.
· Knowledge of programs or systems to control environmental compliance, KPI, waste management.
· Ecuador Principals, Europe Taxonomy, and Environmental and social Management, and their application in global scale and in specific projects.
· Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and budgets simultaneously.
· Capacity to coordinate and work effectively with different groups and teams.
· Autonomous, responsible, and able to take ownership of tasks and outcomes.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-management abilities.
· Availability to travel through different regions of Spain, with a frequency planned once a week. Sometimes using car could be necessary.
