Job Description
What you'll do:
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly materials while continuously identifying opportunities to enhance documentation quality and efficiency.
Design documentation that caters to various audiences, including developers, data scientists, and non-technical end-users while ensuring clarity, conciseness, and ease of understanding
Create, edit, and maintain a wide range of documentation including user guides, API documentation, how-to articles, SOPs, release notes, Product launch-overviews, and internal technical documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements and complex technical concepts into digestible user facing documents that can be clearly understood by Business and Operational stakeholders
Develop and implement documentation standards, templates, and best practices with the use of AI centered tools to ensure consistency and quality.
Review, analyze and manage artifacts on Confluence to ensure information on related Zelis Products, Services, and Technologies is relevant and complies with Zelis and industry standards.
Contribute to product design and usability discussions to ensure clarity and consistency in UI/UX language.
Structure and organize information effectively so that end users and AI systems can easily access and process content for enhanced search and retrieval.
Facilitate broader communications and create centralized content for Product related updates (i.e., town halls, executive updates).
Work with tools such as Confluence, Git, DITA, or other CMS and documentation platforms.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or technical communications.
Strong ability to understand and explain complex technical topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of database schemas, SQL, and Snowflake, with proficiency in creating clear supporting documentation for internal teams based on data-driven insights
Familiarity with AI tools, software development processes, APIs, cloud platforms, or technical tools relevant to the industry.
Experience with documentation tools such as Docs-as-Code, XML/DITA, or Help Authoring Tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, RoboHelp).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
