Head of Junior School Full‑time Leadership Position | Commencing 2026 Salary Range: $150,000 – $175,000

An exceptional opportunity exists for an experienced and inspiring educational leader to join a thriving independent school as Head of Junior School. This pivotal executive role is responsible for leading staff, shaping culture, and driving excellence across academic, wellbeing, and operational domains.

Foster unity and collaboration across the school community, building high‑performing, inclusive teams.

Lead with integrity, visibility, and emotional intelligence, cultivating trust and professional growth.

Embed contemporary wellbeing and positive education frameworks that support every learner.

Oversee and refine administrative and operational systems to ensure seamless service delivery.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Principal, this position has direct leadership of Stage Coordinators and the Junior Sports Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience Essential

Relevant teaching qualifications and registration/accreditation in NSW.

Postgraduate qualifications in Education or Educational Leadership.

Experience

Demonstrated success in a senior leadership role within a school environment.

Proven impact on student achievement and whole‑school improvement.

A record of innovative, high‑quality classroom practice.

Strong digital literacy, data‑informed decision‑making, and administrative capability.

Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Contribute strategically to whole‑school planning and improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with legislative, child protection, and workplace safety requirements.
