Our Fleet Maintenance team are a dedicated group of trade-qualified technicians who take pride in keeping the City's fleet of vehicles and plant running smoothly. With a strong focus on quality and efficiency, our team plays a vital role in ensuring our City's operations stay on track.
About your new role
As a Team Leader Mechanical Technician, you'll have the opportunity to apply your leadership skills and expertise in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of heavy vehicles, trucks, plant machinery, light vehicles and other essential equipment.
This is a hands‑on role where you will efficiently lead the team, and your skills and knowledge gained through a Vehicle Mechanical Technology or related trade will be put to the test.
We're looking for people who have
Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or an equivalent trade qualification)
Leadership qualities with experience in leading small teams
High level of due diligence in relation to all Workplace Health and Safety matters
Experience with a variety of heavy vehicles and plant machinery (highly advantageous)
TMR Approved Examiner of 2nd Hand Vehicles (highly advantageous)
Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP
A responsible attitude towards timekeeping, work organisation and quality control
