Head of Product, Reuters – Thomson Reuters

About The Role
As Head of Product, Reuters and a key senior leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a comprehensive, constantly evolving product portfolio.
You will instill in your team a strong sense of purpose, a vision for growth, a customer‑centric mindset and the ability to develop and ship leading‑edge products.
You will understand customer problems, lead a team to identify creative solutions, anticipate new technology trends in our market and demonstrate outstanding commercial, leadership and transformational experience, as well as a track record for building and motivating global teams to deliver innovative product initiatives.
You will be a dynamic change agent who can drive transformation while energizing and influencing staff at all levels across the function and be a key member of the Reuters Leadership Team.
You will report to the President, Reuters and lead a team of experienced Product Managers and Content specialists and will be a key owner and partner of our growth plan, ensuring that our products retain their market‑leading position.
Responsibilities
Creating a shared vision, roadmap and strategy for Reuters products and building consensus with cross‑functional teams on priorities to execute against
Owning the end‑to‑end lifecycle for Reuters products including product discovery, ideation, design, development and market launch
Driving product development with a cross‑functional group of engineers, subject‑matter experts, designers, data analysts and user researchers and their leadership group
Defining and achieving ambitious goals and targets for product teams using metrics that capture both product and business outcomes
Being a visible leader in the industry to champion our products and tell our story
Managing, growing and inspiring a team of product managers and product experts
Location
The role can be based in London, Toronto, Zug, New York or Bangalore.
About You
Demonstrated success in leading world‑class product teams.
Possess a broad business view and the ability to think through profitability while solving for market dynamics, customer needs and overall business strategy.
Proven change‑agent with a track record of leveraging leading‑edge technology, overhauling product capabilities and partnering effectively with stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications
Proven successful leadership of product management in a software or information business
Significant experience leading global product teams, including building and leading a world‑class Product function
Experience leading a diverse, complex product suite while maintaining a customer‑centric approach
Deep familiarity with advanced technologies
Ability to influence C‑level executives with experience pitching and affecting major investments and significant shifts in strategy
Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
Required ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including globally

Compensation
Base compensation ranges vary by location (e.g., New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC) from $273,000 to $409,000.
Eligibility for an annual bonus is based on enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is one part of a comprehensive total reward program that also includes flexible benefits.
