Chief Financial Officer

An established and fast-growing manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the transformation of its finance function. With multiple operating entities and investments across several sectors, this is a critical appointment that will strengthen financial governance and provide strategic support to the business owners and leadership team.

The Opportunity This role will oversee financial strategy, reporting and commercial performance across a diverse group of businesses. You will restore confidence in financial information, uplift systems and processes, and build capability within the finance function. While operating strategically, you will remain hands‑on as you assess the structure and lead change across the function.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and enhance the finance function to deliver accurate, transparent and timely reporting

Provide strategic and commercial insights to guide decision‑making and growth initiatives

Manage multi‑entity structures including trading companies, trusts and property holdings

Review team structure and capability, including offshore support arrangements

Oversee governance, risk management, compliance and audit requirements

Partner with external accountants and advisors on tax and structuring matters

Drive continuous improvement and automation across financial systems

About You

Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader within a private or owner‑operated business

CA/CPA qualified with strong technical, commercial and strategic capability

Experience managing complex, multi‑entity or trust structures

Background in manufacturing or B2B industries highly regarded

Hands‑on and agile leader who builds confidence and uplifts capability within teams

Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with owners and the board

Values‑driven and pragmatic, with a willingness to understand the operational side of the business
