So what’s this role all about? We’re seeking a dynamic professional who can confidently step into executive meetings, communicate insights clearly, and translate complex financial and operational metrics into compelling visual narratives using Power BI. The ideal candidate brings both strong financial expertise, with a strategic, analytical approach – able to Lead and influence through data in a high-visibility role that drives meaningful impact on company performance.

In this role you will:

Design, develop, test, and maintain reporting solutions in our PowerBI reporting environment.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.

Be accountable for the sharing of accurate information through various communication methods, including presentations to larger groups and executive level management.

Be accountable for leading and directing the department in accomplishing daily tasks and project work in support of company and department plans, along with recruitment, performance monitoring, coaching, and development.

Analyze financial results, variances, and trends then report findings with recommendations.

Assist with annual, quarterly, and periodic forecasting; identify financial position by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Assist in the budget and re-forecast process and strategic projects.

Be accountable for ensuring data is collected, monitored, and appropriately analyzed, and that business recommendations are appropriate.

Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models.

Construct and maintain robust data models to support dynamic and scalable reporting solutions.

Maintain automated tools for reporting and forecasting and lead the development and implementation of measures to improve performance and reliability.

Collaborate with the Data Integration team for new report development and ongoing data integrity monitoring.

Facilitate training and education of financial concepts.

Create a team environment through ongoing communication and promote an open-door policy.

Respond to business needs outside of regular business hours for troubleshooting and system.

A few other things we’re looking for:

Post-secondary education in related field (Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business)

Completion of or working towards accounting or financial analysis designation an asset

3-5 years of work experience in a Financial Analyst or similar position

Strong financial analytical skills related to creating forecasts and financial modeling experience

Excellent Microsoft Office skills: Excel and PowerPoint required

Demonstrated proficiency with Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization services

Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable presenting for, and making recommendations to executive level management

Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Demonstrated ability to lead and coach others

Fluent in English and French is an asset
