Reporting into the Commercial Manager - Medical, the Commercial Business Partner - Medical will be based at our Notting Hill office in Melbourne, Victoria and enjoy flexibility, a healthy work-life balance, and have the option of hybrid working. You will act as a strategic advisor and financial liaison, partnering with our Medical Division to deliver commercial insights, financial analysis, and performance reporting that drive informed decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
Assist with the development and execution of commercial strategies aligned with business objectives;
Design and maintain a KPI framework, delivering timely insights to support strategic initiatives;
Contribute to the design and maintenance of advanced reporting frameworks;
Deliver regular reports, dashboards, and insights to senior stakeholders;
Partner with the Sales and Marketing teams to evaluate pricing;
Collaborate cross‑functionally to enhance forecasting models;
Provide commercial input for budgets and forecasting;
Month‑end closing activities and reporting support;
Ensure alignment between financial targets and operational plans;
Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimisation and value creation;
Work on special projects and initiatives aimed at accelerating commercial performance;
Develop output to effectively communicate insights from analysis and recommendations;
Produce actionable insights based on market trends, competitor analysis, and internal data;
Support audit and risk management processes, as required;
Evaluate and recommend for pricing adjustments;
Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or Economics (MBA or CPA preferred);
5+ years’ experience in a similar commercial finance or business partnering role;
Exposure within the medical devices and/or broader healthcare sector (desirable);
Knowledge of healthcare industry dynamics and regulatory environment (desirable);
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP and financial modelling;
Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence decision‑making;
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn;
Exemplary understanding of compliance rules and ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards, and;
Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, organisational, and task management skills.
A Police Check will be required for this position.
