Head of Finance & Administration – Volleyball South Australia Shape the future of volleyball in SA while leading our financial strategy!

Volleyball South Australia (VSA) is the peak organisation for volleyball in South Australia, driving the growth of Australia's second most participated sport, from grassroots programs to elite competitions. We are seeking a dynamic Head of Finance & Administration to join our passionate team and lead the financial, administrative, and governance functions of our organisation.

What you’ll do:

Lead VSA's financial strategy, providing high-level advice and insights to the CEO, Board, and Leadership Team.

Responsible for the day-to-day financial operations including accounting, payroll, reporting, and budgeting.

Drive efficient systems, robust reporting frameworks, and governance processes that enable growth and sustainability.

Support and develop a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing administration team.

Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sponsors, funding bodies, and partner organisations.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, governance, and WHS regulations.

Who you are:

A seasoned finance professional with experience in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Minimum 3-5 years of finance management experience required for this role.

A natural leader who inspires teams, drives process improvements, and champions accountability.

Highly proficient in MYOB, cloud-based reporting tools, and digital systems.

Strategic, results-driven, and adaptable, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Passionate about community engagement and sport, with an understanding of the not-for-profit or sporting sector desirable.

Requirements:

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (CPA/CA) or Commerce preferred.

Current Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance.

Willingness to work evenings/weekends as required and contribute to VSA events.

Must have existing Australian work rights as visa sponsorship is not available.
