Portfolio Performance And Scheduling Lead

📍 Melbourne, Australia

Altro Planned Resources

Job Description

Portfolio Performance And Scheduling Lead This contract role sits within a local government PMO that’s juggling a big capital works program. They need someone who can see the forest and the trees — building and maintaining a master portfolio schedule that keeps delivery realistic, transparent, and on time (give or take the usual council curveballs).

The work:

Pull together multiple project schedules into one integrated portfolio view.

Keep the execs happy with reports and dashboards that actually mean something (Power BI or similar).

Lift capability — train, coach, and quietly fix what’s been driving everyone mad.

Work with MS Project like it owes you money.

Use Excel for what it was meant for — budgets, forecasts, and those little formulas that make sense of the chaos.

Read between the lines of data and spot issues before they land on someone’s desk with “URGENT” in the subject line.

You’ll need to have:

Proper experience managing project and portfolio schedules in a complex environment (bonus points for council or government work).

Actual Microsoft Project skills (no, not Primavera — we don’t talk about that here).

The deal:

3‑month contract, immediate start.

Good chance of extension for the right person.

Based in Melbourne’s west.
