About the Opportunity
Permanent Full-Time role
Based in North Sydney (Hybrid)
We’re excited to offer a newly created opportunity for an experienced
Tax Manager
to join our high-performing Finance team at oOh!media.
Reporting to the
Head of Tax , you’ll play a key role in managing the Group’s tax compliance and reporting obligations across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands‑on, broad‑ranging role where you’ll apply your strong technical and analytical skills to ensure accuracy, improve processes, and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
You’ll work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment where curiosity and innovation are valued — from exploring automation opportunities to helping shape oOh!’s tax governance framework. Key Responsibilities
Manage indirect tax compliance obligations across Australia and New Zealand including GST, FBT and withholding tax
Prepare income tax returns for Australian and New Zealand companies
Prepare monthly tax expense calculations, including analysis of effective tax rate
Prepare monthly reconciliations of tax GL accounts for management reporting purposes
Prepare half yearly tax calculations for statutory reporting purposes in accordance with relevant accounting standards
Assist with R&D Tax Incentive claims
Assist with transfer pricing documentation and analysis
Support the Head of Tax in preparing tax advice to the business units
Work with the Finance team to improve processes and controls that impact tax compliance
Support the Head of tax in documenting tax governance and control processes
Identify automation opportunities and explore new technologies (including AI)
What you’ll bring:
You will have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a corporate tax role or large accounting firm
You will be fully qualified as a CA/CPA (or equivalent) and/or have a specific tax qualification
Experience using specialist tax software is preferred and a willingness to embrace AI
You will be proficient in excel
You will have good communication and relationship building skills
