Job Description
Summary of the job: The Insurance Surveyor is responsible for conducting surveys of insured properties before policy issuance, ensuring accurate risk assessments and compliance with company and regulatory standards. This position covers all lines of business, excluding Motor Vehicle (MV). In addition to pre-policy surveys, the Insurance Surveyor will also collaborate with Claim Associates to support claim administration tasks. This is a contract-based role for 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site surveys of insured properties prior to policy issuance.
Prepare and submit survey reports, including risk assessments and loss ratio evaluations (e.g., analyzing electrical installations, building materials, proximity to fire stations, and environmental factors).
Record Non-MV claim submissions and assist in claim documentation.
Coordinate with insured parties to collect required claim documents.
Monitor and follow up on claim progress with insurance providers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering).
Strong understanding of building materials and electrical systems.
Familiarity with Property Insurance regulations and OJK guidelines (e.g., Indonesia Earthquake Zonation, Environmental Analysis).
2–3 years of experience in the insurance industry preferred.
Willingness to travel and perform field surveys.
Available for a 6-month contract assignment.
