Kelvin Grove State College is seeking applicants for the position of Head of Department (Mathematics).

About The Role
As Head of Department (Mathematics), you will lead a large team to design and deliver innovative and responsive curricular and co‑curricular programs within the Mathematics Department. You will oversee the coordination of the mathematics curriculum and enrichment programs from year 6 to year 12. You will contribute to the broader strategic agenda of the college as a member of Kelvin Grove State College's Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation and review of the Mathematics curriculum across years 6 to 12 in line with college and departmental priorities.
Participate in delivering the vision of State Schools Division.
Develop the quality of teaching and learning.
Maintain positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
The Head of Department (Mathematics) is accountable to the Deputy Principal who leads the college's Curriculum and Assessment portfolio.

The ideal candidate will set high standards for student and staff performance, be futures oriented and strategic, and demonstrate a holistic, proactive and collaborative approach to leading a large and complex department area in alignment with the college's strategic priorities.
