About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Senior ViceâPresident, the Executive Director, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) provides strategic financial leadership across Monashâs global operations. Leading a team of more than 70 finance professionals, you will enhance financial planning, reporting, analysis and performance frameworks; develop the Universityâs longâterm financial model; and embed best practice across budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, research revenue reporting and analysis. This role will lead FP&A transformation, improving forecast accuracy, leveraging analytics and data insights, and building a culture of informed, insightâled decisionâmaking. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, and executive leadership, you will influence strategic decisions, ensuring that financial intelligence and advice underpin the Universityâs continued success and global growth.
About you
You are a commercially astute finance leader with deep experience in large, complex or multinational organisations, ideally spanning research, innovation, or serviceâbased sectors. With a proven record of building and leading bestâpractice FP&A and business partnering functions, you bring expertise in financial strategy, performance management and transformation, and thrive in dynamic, changeâoriented environments. A strategic thinker and collaborative leader, you combine analytical rigour with exceptional communication and influencing skills. You are adept at translating complex information into clear insights, building trusted partnerships, and developing highâperforming teams that deliver measurable impact. Energised by purpose, you are motivated by the opportunity to apply global best practice within a worldâclass university, contributing to research and innovation that changes lives. Postgraduate qualifications in business, finance or a related discipline are essential.
