Senior Analyst - Trading Surveillance – TD
Compensation: 76,800 – 115,200 CAD
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Job Description
The Model Validation (MV) group in Enterprise Risk, Risk Management is responsible for the independent validation and approval of all analytical models used for TD.
This position reports to Senior Manager, Trading Surveillance and Insider Risk Models Validation. Detailed accountabilities include:
Validates Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) models for Trading Surveillance
Conduct validation testing and analysis for FCRM models under supervision to support business initiatives and regulatory requirements
Communicate with stakeholders from first line to discuss and solve model limitations and issues identified during validation
Deliver high‑quality model validation reports to support validation conclusions, audit and regulator review
Maintain professional knowledge of modelling techniques and developments for Trading Surveillance
Develop validation tests to assess advanced Trading Surveillance models
Education & Experience
Post‑secondary degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, financial engineering or engineering
Good knowledge of trading strategy and algorithm
2+ years experience developing or validating FCRM models, with exposure to AI/ML modeling; experience in FCRM modeling for Trading Surveillance is an asset
Proficiency in programming languages and software such as Python, H2O.ai, Scala, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time/project management and multitasking skills with minimal supervision
Customer Accountabilities
Work in a highly interactive, team‑oriented environment with Big Data developers and analytical experts
Stay current on developments in Trading Surveillance modelling
Shareholder Accountabilities
Work closely with key stakeholders to conduct different validations in time to support business initiatives
Execute the validation plan to deliver results aligned with enterprise model validation procedures and model risk policy
Employee/Team Accountabilities
Share knowledge, information, skills and subject‑matter expertise among the team
Collaborate with other functions and teams to complete validations efficiently and prompt escalation of identified issues
