Purpose and Scope
The Director, Stakeholder Relations, Reimbursement & Pricing plays a key role in leading and developing strategies that support Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), payers, policymakers, and health system stakeholders. This role will drive insight generation, relationship-building, and strategic initiatives that shape brand direction, market access, and reimbursement pathways—ultimately providing the best outcomes for patients.
In addition, the Director will lead Tolmar Pharmaceuticals’ reimbursement and pricing strategy, ensuring patients have timely and sustained access to therapies. The role will balance affordability and value, strengthen relationships with public and private payers, and guide pricing decisions that protect long‑term portfolio sustainability. This includes leading health technology assessment (HTA) engagements, developing payer value propositions, and anticipating policy and pricing trends to ensure Tolmar’s therapies remain accessible and competitive in the Canadian marketplace
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Stakeholder Relations
Lead strategy and tactic development for KOL customer groups across relevant therapeutic areas.
Develop and maintain strong KOL connections; gather insights, identify and anticipate trends, and act on unmet needs.
Partner with Marketing and Market Access teams to ensure strategies align with brand priorities.
Accountable for the planning and execution of advisory boards and industry conference participation.
Conduct competitive market analysis and identify market opportunities.
Invest time in the field with account representatives and payer‑facing colleagues to gather direct insights.
Monitor political, economic, and healthcare system factors that may impact Tolmar’s business.
Reimbursement & Pricing
Lead the development and execution of reimbursement strategies to secure and maintain market access for Tolmar products at national, provincial, and private payer levels.
Oversee pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with global guidance, Canadian market dynamics, and long‑term portfolio value.
Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, HTA agencies (CADTH, INESSS), and other reimbursement stakeholders.
Prepare high‑quality submissions, economic models, and payer value propositions in partnership with Health Economics and Market Access colleagues.
Monitor and analyze reimbursement trends, pricing benchmarks, and policy developments to anticipate risks and opportunities.
Lead cross‑functional pricing committees, ensuring transparent governance and compliance with internal / external standards.
Support negotiation strategies with public and private payers to maximize patient access while balancing commercial objectives.
Provide leadership and guidance on lifecycle pricing strategy, including new indications, line extensions, and loss‑of‑exclusivity planning.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Deep understanding of Canadian reimbursement environment (public / private payers, HTA, pricing policies).
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with payer and policy stakeholders.
Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Proven ability to design and implement pricing and reimbursement strategies.
Analytical mindset with financial and health economics acumen.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to craft payer value stories.
Leadership ability to influence without direct authority and manage complex projects.
Education / Certifications
B.A. or B.Sc. degree required; MBA, M.Sc., or Health Economics background considered an asset.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech industry.
Significant experience (10+ years) in Market Access, Reimbursement, Pricing, or Stakeholder Relations.
Experience across commercial roles in Marketing (+7 years), Sales (+7 Years) required.
Demonstrated success leading payer negotiations and delivering market access wins.
Product launch and HTA submission experience strongly preferred.
Experience in oncology and / or specialty pharmaceuticals is an asset.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are consistent with a normal office environment and / or remote from home office.
Travel is required up to 40%.
