JOB AD: Physician-Emergency Medicine

Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Emergency Medicine Physicians to partner with us in providing medical services to UN‑sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and U.S. Government staff at a field hospital in Port au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract. Deployment

The team will be based in a secure, purpose‑built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti. All service delivery will be conducted within that facility. All camp facilities and basic life support requirements are provided by the U.S. Government, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary services. Field Hospital

Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, pre‑hospital care, surgical, diagnostic and laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic services will be delivered in accordance with U.S. clinical standards and compliance measures. Citizenship

All Aspen Medical staff must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders. Sponsorship will not be available. Requirements

Education

Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), or graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification. Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the AOA in the same specialty for which privileges are requested, for all specialties other than general medical officer, flight surgeon, and undersea medicine. Board Certification

Must hold board certification in Emergency Medicine, Board of Certification in Emergency Medicine (BCEM) or American Osteopathic Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). License

Contractor personnel must possess a license in the state in which they will practice and provide services under this contract, such that medical providers are authorized to conduct the independent practice of clinical services. The license shall be current, valid, and unrestricted. Experience

Minimum of 1 year experience within the preceding 3 years. Special training in Emergency Medicine. Certification

Current, valid American Heart Association certification in Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Current, valid certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). Language Proficiency

Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desired. This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation. You will not receive pay while off rotation.
