We are building a next-generation financial technology platform from the ground up. As our Founding Engineer, you will be the architect and primary builder of our core product, focusing on

backend scalability, security, and robust DevOps . You will own the entire technical infrastructure, ensuring a seamless experience for both our Next.js web application and future mobile clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & OWNERSHIP Backend & Infrastructure (Core Focus) Design, architect, and deploy highly scalable and secure APIs and microservices

using

Node.js/TypeScript

and

Python . Own the entire DevOps pipeline:

Implement and maintain robust CI/CD workflows, containerization ( Docker/Kubernetes ), and cloud deployment on

AWS/GCP/Azure . Utilize

Python

for complex scripting, automation, and data processing utilities. Architect data models and optimize NoSQL/SQL databases for high-volume, real-time financial transactions. Integrate securely with critical external systems, including banking APIs and payment processors. Implement comprehensive observability, monitoring, and logging solutions.

Full Stack Contribution Contribute to the development of our core web application using

Next.js

(focusing on API routes and server-side logic). Develop utility-focused

Chrome/Browser Extensions

to enhance user workflows. Define and enforce coding standards, security protocols, and documentation for the entire stack.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential Experience 3+ years of professional software development experience, with a

clear, proven focus on Backend systems and DevOps. Expertise in

Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript

and

Python

for building scalable applications and automation. Strong experience with the

Next.js

framework (specifically its API routes and serverless features). Deep practical knowledge of

DevOps workflows : CI/CD setup,

Docker , and management on a major cloud provider (AWS/GCP). Experience in designing high-performance REST/GraphQL APIs and optimizing database performance. Proven ability to build and deploy production-level Chrome or other browser extensions.

Preferred Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code ( Terraform, Pulumi ). Prior experience in FinTech, banking, or handling sensitive financial data integrations. Knowledge of security compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, PCI DSS). Comfortable operating in an early-stage startup environment with high autonomy.
