We are recruiting for a Contract Manager to join a well-established organisation within the logistics and supply chain sector. This role would suit someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing service delivery, and leading a motivated team to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties of a Contract Manager

Working within the Customer Operations team, you will oversee the day-to-day management of key client contracts, ensuring smooth service delivery and commercial success. Reporting to a senior operations leader, you will be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of contracts and maintaining close working relationships with clients.
• Leading a small team to deliver consistent and high-quality service.
• Monitoring operational performance and driving improvements where needed.
• Acting as the main escalation point for any service or delivery issues.
• Working with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination across logistics and customer functions.
• Identifying opportunities to add value and enhance client satisfaction.
• Ensuring all activity complies with company policies, including Health & Safety and Quality standards.

Skills and Experience of a Contract Manager

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience managing client relationships or contracts within logistics, distribution, or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

It would be advantageous if you also had:

• Experience working with KPIs and service metrics.
• Knowledge of operational systems or CRM tools.
• An understanding of continuous improvement principles.
