IP Partner

Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking commercial law firm with an ambitious growth strategy. It is renowned for its collaborative culture, commitment to quality and ability to deliver exceptional results across a diverse client base. As part of the firms continued expansion, it is now seeking a talented Junior IP Partner to play a key role in developing its Intellectual Property offering within a thriving commercial practice.

In this pivotal position, you'll take ownership of shaping and growing the firms IP practice, advising clients on all aspects of IP protection and commercialisation. You'll bring a combination of legal expertise, strategic thinking and leadership to help build a market-leading service offering while mentoring junior team members and driving innovation across the practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a varied portfolio of IP matters, with a focus on non-contentious and strategic advisory work
• Advise clients on IP protection, registration, licensing, brand management and exploitation of rights
• Provide commercially focused IP support on corporate transactions and wider commercial projects
• Develop and implement strategies for the protection and commercial use of intellectual property
• Stay ahead of legislative developments and market trends, ensuring clients receive the most up-to-date advice
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions
• Contribute to the growth of the IP team and strengthen the firms presence in the market

Requirements

• Solid experience advising clients on IP law, including trade marks, copyright, design rights and brand protection (some knowledge of patents advantageous)
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver pragmatic, commercially minded advice
• Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills
• Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities for practice growth
• Experience in team development or practice building would be advantageous
