Accounts Payable Manager

Job Title: Accounts Payable ManagerLocation: Chirk, North Wales, UK
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Working Pattern: Fully office-based

About the Role

This is an exciting and dynamic opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to lead the Accounts Payable team. You will play a key role in improving and developing a core financial function within a global manufacturing organisation role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who can work independently and collaborate with senior finance leaders to drive process improvements, strengthen controls, and develop the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function.
• Review, implement, and continuously improve AP processes and controls.
• Evaluate and introduce technologies to enhance productivity and automation.
• Provide cover and support across AP activities (self-billing, banking/payments, invoice control).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with other finance teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Accounts Payable roles.
• Strong understanding of AP controls and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence to engage across departments.
• Flexibility to travel for training and benchmarking with other AP teams.
