About the Role
We’re seeking aPrincipal GIS Consultantwith a strong environmental focus to lead spatial analysis and geospatial support across major renewable energy and ecological projects. You’ll join a close-knit, collaborative team of eight, filling a key gap in environmental and ecological spatial analysis.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and process spatial datasets aligned with company standards
Produce high-quality cartographic outputs using ArcGIS Pro
Develop and maintain web maps, apps, dashboards, and mobile GIS tools (Field Maps, Survey123)
Administer ArcGIS Online content, groups, members, and licensing
Conduct spatial analysis using ArcGIS, FME, Python or R‑Studio
Support ecological and environmental assessments through spatial data interrogation
Package spatial deliverables for clients and manage revision control
Collaborate on data workflows and documentation
Assist with SharePoint-based information management
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Tertiary qualifications in GIS or Spatial Science (mandatory)
Additional qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, Surveying or Data Science (advantageous)
10+ years’ experience in environmental, planning or engineering sectors
Proven experience supporting environmental approvals and ecological assessments
Strong skills in cartography, spatial ETL tools, and data modelling
Proficiency in ESRI suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Survey123)
Experience with Python or Arcade in a consulting context
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Work on high-profile energy transition projects
Play a key role in solving complex environmental and ecological challenges
