We are looking for a

Vice President Legal

to join our company in the agribusiness sector. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the companys legal, compliance, and governance strategy at both national and international levels.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a strategic advisor to the Board of Directors and senior leadership on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and governance matters.

Oversee the companys legal framework, ensuring compliance with Indonesian laws, international regulations, and industry-specific standards.

Lead and manage all corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, capital markets activities, and financing arrangements.

Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts to safeguard company interests while enabling business growth.

Establish, monitor, and continuously improve compliance programs, policies, and internal controls to mitigate legal and reputational risks.

Manage and resolve disputes, litigation, and arbitration cases, engaging with external counsel as needed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, sustainability, and commercial) to provide business-oriented legal support.

Represent the company in engagements with regulators, government authorities, and external stakeholders.

Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing legal team, fostering a culture of integrity and excellence.

Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments that may impact the agribusiness industry and proactively recommend actions.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Law; Masters or international legal qualifications preferred.

Minimum 20 years of progressive legal experience, with at least 9 years in a senior leadership role.

Strong expertise in corporate law, M&A, capital markets, governance, and compliance.

Prior experience in agribusiness, plantation, FMCG, or natural resources is highly desirable.

Proven ability to lead legal strategy in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Professional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
