Where you’ll\nbe based

The role is\nbased at our Yorkshire Clinic, Cottingley Business Park in Bingley.\nThe Yorkshire Clinic is one of West Yorkshire's leading private\nhospitals, part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading\nindependent healthcare providers in\nEngland.

The Ward\nManager will oversee the daily operations of the ward, ensuring the\ndelivery of exceptional patient care and efficient management of\nresources. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical\nexpertise, and the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive\nenvironment for staff and\npatients.

Key\nResponsibilities:

Leadership\nand\nManagement:

  • Lead\nand manage the ward team, including nurses, healthcare assistants,\nand support staff.

  • Ensure\nthe ward operates smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high\nstandards of patient\ncare.

  • Conduct regular staff\nmeetings and provide ongoing training and development\nopportunities.

  • Manage staff\nrotas, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal use of\nresources.

Patient\nCare:

  • Oversee the\nassessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient\ncare.

  • Ensure all patients\nreceive personalized, compassionate care tailored to their\nindividual needs.

  • Monitor\npatient outcomes and implement improvements to enhance care\nquality.

  • Address patient\nconcerns and complaints promptly and\neffectively.

Clinical\nGovernance:

  • Ensure\ncompliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, policies, and\nprocedures.

  • Maintain\naccurate and up-to-date patient records and\ndocumentation.

  • Conduct\naudits and quality assurance activities to ensure continuous\nimprovement.

  • Promote a\nculture of safety and risk management within the\nward.

Communication\nand\nCollaboration:

  • Foster\neffective communication and collaboration within the\nmultidisciplinary\nteam.

  • Liaise with other\ndepartments and external stakeholders to coordinate patient\ncare.

  • Participate in\nhospital-wide initiatives and contribute to strategic\nplanning

What\nyou’ll bring with\nyou

  • Registered\nNurse (RN) with a valid NMC\nregistration.

  • Minimum of 5\nyears of clinical experience, preferably with a strong surgical\nbackground, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial\nrole.

  • Strong clinical skills\nand knowledge of best practices in patient\ncare.

  • Excellent\ncommunication, interpersonal, and organizational\nskills.

  • Ability to lead and\nmotivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work\nenvironment.

  • Experience in\nmanaging budgets and resources\neffectively

  • Previous\nClinical Supervisory\nExperience

  • Experience of\nmanaging rosters and staffing\n(desirable)

  • Enthusiasm and a\ncan do attitude

  • Flexibility\nand adaptability to meet the changing needs of the\nbusiness

  • A good working\nknowledge and compliance with CQC\nStandards

  • The ability to\nmake decisions and use your\ninitiative

  • Strong\ncommunication skills

  • Passion\nto deliver excellent care in a busy and challenging\nenvironment
