Senior Software Engineer

Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission – Canberra ACT The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for planning, developing, maintaining, and enhancing NPI systems and services, including significant system/service uplift across the National Policing Information (NPI) Service portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in fields related to the role and level you are applying for.

Experience working with or leading ICT project teams using waterfall or Agile delivery methodology.

Demonstrated experience in supporting and developing software systems, in particular in environments based on Java, JEE frameworks and containerisation (Kubernetes), Oracle, Unix, Windows, HTML5, CSS, Typescript, Javascript, Tomcat, Node, React and Spring boot framework.

Demonstrated experience in supporting or integrating software products from third party vendors, including commercial or government off the shelf.

Experience in using Microsoft Office or equivalent for documenting, organizing information, delivering presentations and processing data.

Well organised and detail focused, with the ability to prioritise and multi‑task to meet deadlines and manage competing tasks.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi‑task to meet deadlines and manage competing tasks.

– To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.

Security Clearance

– Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
