Senior Offensive Security Consultant, Mandiant
Hybrid workplace includes remote and in‑office roles. The preferred in‑office locations are Ottawa, ON, Canada and Toronto, ON, Canada. Remote locations include Ontario, CA and Quebec, CA.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber‑security, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience assessing and developing cyber‑security solutions across multiple security domains.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications related to offensive security including OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT INF or relevant SANS courses.
Experience in four or more of the following: network protocols, threat intelligence analysis, system and network administration, project management, developing applications, technical incident response processes, source code review, reverse engineering.
Experience implementing or assessing information security controls.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
About the Job
As a Security Consultant, you will help clients prepare for, mitigate, detect, and respond to cyber security threats. You will apply deep knowledge of computer science, operating systems, networking, cloud services, and corporate network environments to defend against advanced threats.
Typical engagements include forensic analysis, threat hunting, malware triage, and penetration testing of client networks, applications, and devices. You will advocate for security requirements, present complex concepts to stakeholders, and lead engagements with cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities
Perform offensive technical cyber‑security engagements of a varied nature.
Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations; track and drive issues to closure that impact engagements and client value.
Advise clients on security best practices for remediating discovered issues.
Collaborate with internal teams to expand capabilities and deliver further value.
Perform Red and Purple Team assessments, including end‑to‑end adversarial emulation of cyber attacks, and other technical assessments such as external penetration, web application, and mobile security testing.
