Your new role Join Health Support Services (HSS) as Principal Consultant – Office of the Chief Information Officer. This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time and Fixed Term Full Time appointment(s) with the possibility of extension(s) and / or permanency. HSS is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Consultant to support the Chief Information Officer (CIO) within the Office of the CIO in the ICT Business Unit. This pivotal executive role is ideal for a strategic professional with proven expertise in governance, reporting oversight, and advisory functions. Success will depend on exceptional stakeholder engagement, so outstanding communication skills, adaptability, and strong organisational capability are essential.

What you’ll do

Deliver professional, executive-level support to the CIO and ICT Senior Leadership Team, including preparing agendas, executive papers, briefing notes, reports, and presentations.

Oversee and coordinate reporting arising from projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity. Apply project methodologies across a variety of tasks, such as audits and subsequent remediation.

Advise on policy, planning, and governance matters, contributing to organisational development and reform initiatives.

Manage confidential initiatives, coordinate consultants, and report on outcomes.

Serve as the key liaison for ICT executive matters, maintaining oversight of commitments and supporting cross-functional collaboration.

Champion a customer‑centric culture, quality management, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

You will not be configuring systems, coding, or managing technical infrastructure. Instead, you will be at the centre of executive decision‑making, governance, and strategic reporting.
