$119,209.00 – $138,534.10 per annum (+Super +17.5 Leave Loading where applicable)

The District Clinical Leader MHDA Aboriginal People will ensure systems, services and processes are established between Mental Health Drug and Alcohol and non-government, primary care, social support, justice and drug and alcohol services to ensure collaboration, connectivity, reduce service duplication and ensure appropriate support at transitional points in care for Aboriginal people.
Identified Outcomes
Leadership & Collaboration: Build knowledge, skills, and confidence in working with Aboriginal people across Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services, supporting leaders, teams, and culturally safe supervision.
Consultancy & Clinical Support: Provide specialist cultural consultation, advice, and input into care planning for complex cases, promoting culturally informed, recovery-oriented practice.
Education & Workforce Development: Identify practice gaps, deliver targeted education and resources, and ensure new models of care are culturally appropriate for Aboriginal people.
Planning, Research & Quality Improvement: Drive culturally safe service planning, strengthen partnerships across sectors, analyse data for evidence-based improvements, and lead quality and safety initiatives.
About You
Be a confident / conscientious team player whose values align with NSW Health Core values – Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
Demonstrate a high level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be able to manage and prioritise a diverse workload.
Hold a relevant Australian qualification as a Health Professional, Psychologist or Nurse with a minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience in the provision of mental health and/ or drug & alcohol services.
