We are seeking an experienced Product Management leader to join our team and be responsible for the health and growth of our platform. This position will lead a team of seasoned product managers who define our product strategy and roadmap to deliver value for our customers.

Description/Summary:

The Product Management team is responsible for leading Vena’s strategic product objectives by developing and delivering solutions that delight and inspire our customers and their constituents. You will be expected to be a “holistic product owner” and a team leader:

Lead product management:

Personally and through leadership of top-notch Product Managers, oversee multiple strategic product initiatives. Build deep understanding of our customers through the discovery process, translate insights into detailed product requirements, identify ambiguities, define clear acceptance criteria, prioritize tradeoffs, manage the backlog, and drive development teams to deliver quality products.

Know the business of your products:

Lead the employment and ongoing maturity of agile principals for product and management. Ensure profitability, manage the investment across the lifecycle of your products, design and build for sales channels, ensure alignment with sales, customer success and services models.

Be the recognized expert/spokesperson : Lead others with your vision, internally and externally, be the voice of your products in industry and customer conversations.

Be the entrepreneur : Lead business case analysis development, leverage your deep product and customer knowledge to recommend new product investments and market opportunities.

How You'll Make an Impact

Understand the state of Vena’s business, its products and opportunities

Create deep relationships with customers to develop a deep empathy for the challenges of FP&A teams at midsize companies

Maintain a deep understanding of the Corporate Performance Management industry

Lead, mentor and support a team of product managers in the planning, execution, and GTM lifecycles

Develop a deep understanding of the business drivers of your products – profitability, pricing, services mix, sales channels, etc.

Recruit, interview, hire, and develop talented team members. Ensure the product organization has a 'bench' of flexible and talented individuals

Be a visible leader throughout the organization, advocate for our customers and the products that are truly meaningful to them

Inspire your team and help them sharpen their Product Management skills

Work side-by-side with business unit personnel to insure seamless process integration for marketing, sales and support operations and to insure the business is informed of the direction and status of the roadmap

Establish, refine and communicate through the business and to customers a shared understanding of the portfolio vision and roadmap planning for your products; insure the prioritized backlog aligns to the roadmap plan

Continuously monitor where your products are in their lifecycle and work holistically across the business to manage lifecycle events (end of life, new product launch, etc.)

Be accountable for your results and report out to partners and executives on the impact your products and projects are making

We'd Love to See

Minimum of 5 years of B2B product management experience

Minimum of 2 years of team management experience

Ideal candidates have experience with at least one of; Financial Planning tools, accounting software like ERP platforms, or maintain a CPA or CFA designation

Early adaptor experience with latest AI tools for Product Mgt and Design teams

Experience in Pragmatic Marketing and Scrum or other Agile development practices, methodologies and tools is preferred

Can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to get things done under minimal supervision and drive results across cross functional teams.

Adept at understanding and curious about new technologies, systems, and tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills, and proven ability to run effective meetings; comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization

Not afraid of the details – need to be highly focused mitigating product development risk by ensuring that no rocks go unturned

Very strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence.
